Online Travel Planning Made Easy on Amtrak California
Sacramento, California, September 2006 – Train travel in California is smoother than ever thanks to Amtrak California’s newly designed website.
“Riding a train is a convenient, comfortable way to travel,” said Blue River CEO Malcolm O’Keeffe. “We wanted to mirror that experience online by providing in-depth information, presented in an intuitive, easy-to-find structure.”
To do that, Blue River and Sol Design Group created the new Amtrak site with Flash-driven interactive route maps, detailed station information, and helpful regional transportation contacts. Customers can search for stations nearest them by zip code or alphabetically, and access timetables and other trip-planning information. The entire site runs on Blue River's powerful content management system, enabling Amtrak California employees to maintain the site quickly and easily.
