Blue River Transforms Sutter Health Annual Report
Interactivity Brings Data to Life
Sacramento, California, July 15, 2007 — In an innovative turn for company communications, Blue River Interactive Group has launched the first web-based annual report for Sutter Health, a not-for-profit health care system serving more than 100 communities in Northern California. Replacing a traditional print report, Sutter Health’s interactive, online annual report is a multidimensional and engaging look at the year in review. “This was a very rewarding project,” said Blue River COO Ryan Thompson. “Online annual reports give organizations a chance to tell their stories through audio, video, pictures and text. It’s a modern approach that pairs perfectly with the goals of an annual report.”
Sutter Health’s new report is an immersive experience mixing interactive data and multimedia narrative. Audiences can view compelling testimonial videos, as well as dynamic reports on clinical quality, patient care and more. The new medium allows people to literally speak alongside the facts, humanizing the information through a fresh, creative platform.

Unlike print-based annual reports, where distribution is limited by the number of paper copies printed, the web-based version allows anyone to access the report, whenever desired.
“When you consider the potential outreach of web-based annual reports vs. print versions, the cost-savings is tremendous,” said Blue River’s Thompson.
