Blue River Brings New Sutter Health Campaign to Life

Sacramento, California, September 2006 -- Northern California's Sutter Health has launched a new ad campaign for its Sacramento Sierra region featuring a series of patient-centered “micro” websites.

The campaign and its corresponding sites target the popular 25-54 female demographic by focusing on obstetrics, pediatrics, prevention and finding the right doctor.

Sacramento’s Glass McClure Advertising developed the campaign, including the look and feel, and partnered with Blue River Interactive to create the online strategy and functionality for the individual websites.

“The challenge was to take Glass McClure’s expertise in crafting messages around their clients’ business goals and translate that to something that would be successful online,” said Ryan Thompson, COO for Blue River Interactive. “The Internet calls for a totally different set of behaviors and ways of thinking for both site users and the clients themselves.”

Each site features Flash-driven Sutter Health patient testimonial videos, doctor blogs, a physician search component and access to Sutter’s medical library. Visitors to the sites also can submit their own Sutter experiences for possible future testimonials.

A key component of the Sutter Health sites is Blue River’s content management system, which allows Sutter employees to update the regularly changing content quickly and easily without technical expertise. In coming weeks, the Sutter team will use this system to create a Spanish version of the online obstetrics campaign, www.havingyourfirstbaby.com.
