Blue River to Become Investor in Railo Company

Blue River Interactive Group are proud to announce that we will be an investor in the new Railo Company. Railo's CFML engine (Railo Server) provides developers with a great toolkit for rapid development of websites and web applications, and powers thousands of Mura CMS sites world-wide. The new Railo Company will be comprised of the current Railo development and management team, with new investors and advisors, and will be focused on growing the adoption of Railo's fantastic CFML engine.

We're also very pleased to be joining with a select group of other investors who are bringing global expertise and market reach to the new Railo Company. The other investors in the new Railo Company represent some of the biggest CFML development companies in Europe, and have incredible market reach and client bases:

    • Gruppo Tesi (Italy)
    • ActivBrowser (France)
    • PrismaIT (Holland)
    • TagNile (Finland)

Our investment in the Railo Company represents our confidence in the quality of the Railo product and development team. With new management expertise and financial stability, the Railo Company now has the resources needed to achieve significant growth in usage and revenue, and we're looking forward to playing a key role in this success story.

Of course, Mura CMS will continue to support all the main CFML engines; Railo, Adobe ColdFusion and OpenBD, and we will develop for maximum cross-platform compatiblity across all 3 engines. We believe that each of the 3 main CFML engines has an important and distinct role to play in the CFML ecosystem, and that it's crticial for Mura CMS to deploy and perform consistently on all 3.

We are tremendously excited about the prospects for the new Railo Company. We believe strongly that open-source CFML will continue to grow in importance and adoption as more developers and web professionals learn about the incredible productivity and performance offered by CFML.

    CANP Launches New Site

Blue River has recently launched the redesigned and redeveloped web site for the California Association for Nurse Practitioners (www.canpweb.org). This project was done in partnership with Shaw / Yoder / Antwih, Inc. (www.shawyoderantwih.com), one of Sacramento's leading legislative advocacy and association management companies. The two firms worked tightly together to meet the three primary objectives of the project:

    Improved User Experience

For this project, Blue River leveraged its many years of experience with member-based organizations to design and develop a brand new user experience for CANP that allows current and potential members to gain access to important content quickly and easily. A new look and feel was created that integrated new branding efforts from CANP as well. One of the main focuses was to ensure user experience was  inviting and intuitive.

    Provide Self-Help Tools to Members

The CANP web site is integrated with Euclid Technology's ClearVantage association management software (www.euclidtechnology.com). This system provides member tools such as creating accounts, managing accounts, renewing membership, member directories and more. Blue River worked with Euclid to develop a seamless integration between ClearVantage and the web site content. Members can now access all information about their account from the web site which should reduce incoming account management requests and provide increased member satisfaction related to their online experience.

    Enable Web Content Management
Blue River integrated Mura CMS (www.getmura.com) an open-source content management system to handle the web content management needs. This system allows CANP staff to edit and create content via Mura's web-based interface without the need for technical support or web development personnel. Blue River also developed a Clear Vantage integration manager that allows CANP to list, edit and place the Clear Vantage functionality on the site in any location.

This is the first of many projects for Blue River and Shaw / Yoder / Antwih, Inc. working as a partnership. Shaw / Yoder / Antwih has chosen to leverage Blue River's expertise in web design and development for member-based organizations along with Mura CMS to provide platform solutions for other associations on their roster. We look forward to continued success of this partnership and improving member-based organization web sites across California.
